Summary:

FalconTek has an opportunity to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM)
program as an EHR Software Integration Lead. Serve as technical leader for a subset of all interfaces supporting OEHRM
implementation. Acts as highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, healthcare
semantics, informatics, and multiple platforms. Identify potential technical risks to largescale system to system interface efforts.
Understand and develop common design patterns to reduce overall interface needs. Implementation of Service Bus and common
data standards (HL7) to ensure that VA has a long-term strategy for standard interfaces. Active support of interfaces from design,
through development and authority to connect, providing remediations and reducing overall risk to OEHRM implementation.

Required Security Clearance: US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Qualifications Requirements:
? Must have experience independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to
existing software for a healthcare/clinical environment
? Ability to perform as highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility,
healthcare semantics, informatics, and multiple platforms
? Must have experience seeing projects to completion
? Must have experience performing feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management
Required Education and Experience:
? 5+ years of professional work experience required.
? Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare IT, computer science, electronics engineering, engineering or technical related field, or
an additional 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
? Experience with large scale, enterprise systems integration/interface and deployment
? Experience managing core technical aspects of IT related projects
? Experience using a variety of interfacing strategies, especially middleware/SOA
? Knowledge of HL standards
? Experience in the VA
? Experience implementing Electronic Health Records

Employment Type: Full Time / Permanent 
Working Conditions: 
This role will have temporary telework options during the COVID pandemic, there is a rotational schedule to go on-site. The
candidate will be expected to be on-site full time (40-hour week) in Washington, DC once restrictions are lifted.
